Out with the old, in with the new

As of today, we’ve swapped out all of the original weapon drops – out with old and in with 90 new decorated weapons, across six new collections. All you have to do to find them is launch CS:GO and play; they’re all dropping right now.

Meanwhile, the biggest tournament in CS:GO history starts Thursday, November 28th. Don’t miss a minute of the 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship – watch live matches to see who will take their share of the $250,000 prize pool, and get a chance to receive exclusive DreamHack Winter 2013 Souvenir Packages!

Those Souvenir Packages will contain a decorated weapon from the brand new set of weapon drops, and each will be marked by one of several exclusive event stickers.

Hitting the Highlights

Today’s update introduces a new Watch menu feature: Highlights. Relive the highlights of your own matches, or get a better perspective on how another player dominated a match!

To view your highlights, go to the ‘Your Matches’ tab on the Watch menu, click on a downloaded match, and select ‘Watch Your Highlights.’

To watch another player’s highlights, view the match scoreboard, select a player, and click on ‘Watch Highlights.’

Preparing for DreamHack

Today’s update includes a series of features that will activate during next week’s 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship.

Throughout the event, you’ll be able to find streams and match info through a special tab in the WATCH menu.

There’s just one week until the event begins, so don’t forget to link your Twitch and Steam accounts!

Remember, to be eligible for Souvenir Packages, all you have to do is watch live DreamHack tournament matches on GOTV, or watch the live matches on Twitch with a linked Steam account.

What’s in the box?

Today’s update includes gameplay adjustments and spectator features, along with map changes driven by pro feedback.

We’re counting down the days until the 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship. Are you ready?

Don’t forget to link your Steam and Twitch accounts for a chance to receive keyless DreamHack Winter 2013 Souvenir Packages.

These keyless Souvenir Packages are the only way to get souvenir weapons, marked by one of several exclusive event stickers.

Speaking of events, CS:GO fans should tune in this weekend for the TECHLABS Cup 2013 Grand Final in Moscow. Four teams will compete for the $20,000 cup – Astana Dragons, Universal Soldiers, Natus Vincere and 3DMAX.

There’s even more than money on the line for the latter two, as they will be vying for one of the last remaining DreamHack Winter spots.

Linking with Twitch

Today’s update includes several changes to gameplay, along with map improvements, UI additions, and more. Click here for the full details.

The 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship is just a few weeks away, and the competition has been heating up. During the event, spectators of live matches will have a chance to receive keyless DreamHack Winter 2013 Souvenir Packages.

To become eligible for Souvenir Packages, all you have to do is watch the live tournament matches on GOTV, or watch on Twitch with a linked Steam account. You can get started here, or navigate to the Streams tab in the Watch menu. Just enter your Twitch and Steam account information, and you’ll be ready to go.

In addition to Souvenir Packages, linking your account is a great way to generate more viewers for your Twitch.tv channel. Stream your CS:GO matchmaking games on Twitch, and highly spectated matches will be featured as a Live match in the Watch menu!

And during the 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship you’ll be able to see Clan-Mystik (in addition to Fnatic and iBUYPOWER), who overcame stiff competition from VeryGames at this year’s ESWC. Congratulations to them and to Druidz, who defeated ALTERNATE in the Women’s Final.
